INEOS GRENADIER | DIESEL B57 | 15 000 KM SERVICE INSPECTION

Below outlines the 12 Month / 15 000 KM service requirements for your B57 powered INEOS Grenadier and Quartermaster.

1. Examine the condition of the Body Exterior. 
2. Test the function of the Horn. 
3. Test the function of the Interior Lights. 
4. Test the function of the Exterior Lights. 
5. Test the function of the Wiper and Screen-Washer System. 
6. Do the Seatbelt function and condition checks. 
7. Do the Warning Triangle and Auxiliary Equipment checks. 
8. Do the First Aid Kit checks. 
9. Examine and lubricate the Door Check-Straps and Hinges. 
10. Make an On Board Diagnostics report. Dealer only.
11. Do the Service-Light Reset procedure. Dealer only.
12. Do the Headlamp Alignment procedure. 
13. Do the Water Drain check procedure. 
14. Examine the Brake Fluid. 
15. Examine the High-Temperature Coolant. 
16. Examine the Low-Temperature Coolant. 
19. Examine the Power-Steering Fluid. 
20. Test the function of the Air-Conditioning. 
21. Lift the vehicle on a ramp. 
22. Interchange the left-side Wheels and the right-side Wheels. 
23. Do the tyre condition checks. 
24. Examine the front Brake Pads. 
25. Examine the rear Brake Pads. 
26. Examine the front Brake Discs. 
27. Examine the rear Brake Discs. 
28. Replace the Engine Oil and Oil Filter.
  28a. Remove the Engine Cover. 
  28b.WARNING: The engine and oil can be hot after operation of the engine. Let the engine and oil cool for one hour before you do work. If you do not, personal injury can occur.
Remove the Oil Filler Cap from the Cylinder Head Cover.
  28c. Put a spill cloth in the correct position to collect spilled Engine Oil.
  28d. Remove the Filter Cap from the Oil Filter Housing.
  28e. Remove and discard the Oil Filter Element from the Oil Filter Cap.
  28f.Remove and discard the O-Ring from the Oil Filter Cap.
  28g. Raise Vehicle on the Ramp. 
  28h. Put an applicable container under the Engine to collect the Oil.
  28i. Remove the Sump Plug from the Engine Sump.
  28j. Let the Engine Oil drain fully.
  28k. Remove and discard the Crush Washer from the Sump Plug.
  28j. Install the new Crush Washer to the Sump Plug.
  28k. Install and torque the Sump Plug to the Engine Sump to 25.0 Nm
  28l. Lower Vehicle on the Ramp. 
  28m. Lightly oil the new O-Ring.
  28n. Install the O-Ring to the Oil Filter Cap.
  28o. Install the new Oil Filter to the Oil Filter Cap.
  28p. Install and torque the Oil Filter Cap to the Oil Filter Housing to 25.0 Nm
  28q. Fill Engine with the correct quantity of Oil.
  28r. Install the Oil Filler Cap to the Cylinder Head Cover.
  28s. Install the Engine Cover.
 29. Replace the Water Separator Filter.
  29a. Disconnect the Battery. 
  29b. Lift the vehicle on a ramp. 
  29c. Put an applicable container under the Water Separator to catch the diesel and water mixture.
  29.d Disconnect the electrical connector from the Water Separator.
  29e. Move the connector aside.
  29f. WARNING: Fuel vapour is explosive. During the procedure, fuel lines will be open. Make sure that there is suitable ventilation and use all necessary precautions to prevent risk of fire. Read and obey all fuel handling instructions before work is started on the fuel system. Clean up all spilled fuel immediately and discard all fuel contaminated materials safely.
WARNING: You must disconnect the battery ground cable before any work is started on the fuel system.
WARNING: Do not switch the ignition on until all of the work on the fuel system is complete. This will include when the area is cleared of fuel and fuel vapour contamination.
  Remove the Cap and Filter assembly.
  29g. CAUTION: Discard of the Water Separator Filter correctly.
Remove the Water Separator Filter from the Cap.
  29h. Remove the O-ring from the Cap.
  29i. Drain all water and contaminants from the Cap.
  29j. Install the new O-ring to the Cap.
  29k. Install the new Water-Separator Filter to the Cap.
  29l. Apply a small quantity of oil to the two O-rings.
  29m. Install and tighten the Cap and Filter assembly.
  29n. Move the electrical connector into position.
  29o. Connect the electrical connector to the Water Separator.
  29p. Remove the container from under the Water Separator.
  29q. Lower the vehicle off the ramp. 
  29r.
Connect the Battery.
 30. Examine the Engine Bay Pipes and Hoses. 
31. Do a check of the Transfer Box Oil level. 
32. Replace the Front Differential Oil. 
33. Replace the Rear Differential Oil. 
34. Do a check of the Transmission Oil level. 
35. Examine the Brake Pipes and Hoses. 
36. Examine the Exhaust System. 
37. Examine the Chassis and Rubber-Elements. 
38. Lower the vehicle off the ramp. 
39. Do the Handbrake function and condition checks. 
40. Replace the Pollen Filter. 
  40a. Open the Front Left Door. 
  40b. Release the Filter Housing Cover from the two clips that attach it to the Fan Housing.
  40c. Open the Filter Housing Cover.
  40d. Remove and discard the Cabin Filter.
  40e. Install a new Cabin Filter.
  40f. Close the Filter Housing Cover.
  40g. Install the Filter Housing Cover to the two clips that attach it to the Fan Housing.
  40h. Close the Front Left Door.
41. Do a Road Test.
